Download Codiz.

A desktop app that runs Claude Code, Codex and Cursor side by side. Sign in to each agent from inside the app. There are no API keys to paste.

Other systems and processors

Three steps, about a minute.

Codiz does not have an Apple signature yet, so macOS quarantines it on the way in. One command undoes that, for this app only.

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Codiz to Applications

The usual thing. Then eject the disk image.

  2. Then run this once, after you drag Codiz to Applications

Paste it into Terminal, press return. Skip it and macOS says “Codiz is damaged and can’t be opened” — it is not damaged, and the download is not corrupt; that is just the message for an app without a signature.

  3. Open it

Sign in from the welcome screen and you are working. If a coding agent’s command already runs in your terminal, Codiz finds it and signs in through it.

Take the file your system installs.

A .deb for Ubuntu, Debian and the systems built on them, an .rpm for Fedora and its relatives, and an AppImage for everything else. Each comes for Intel and AMD machines and for ARM ones. This is version 0.1.73.

  1. Ubuntu, Debian, Mint or Pop!_OS: the .deb

Download it, then run this in the folder it landed in — usually Downloads. apt asks for your password once. On Ubuntu 24.04 and newer, this is the one to take.

  2. Fedora, RHEL, Rocky or AlmaLinux: the .rpm

Download it, then run this in the folder it landed in — usually Downloads. dnf asks for your password once.

  3. Anything else: the AppImage

Make it runnable, then open it from your file manager or the terminal. It updates itself when a new version is out.

  4. Open it

Sign in from the welcome screen and you are working. If a coding agent’s command already runs in your terminal, Codiz finds it and signs in through it.

Three steps, and one warning.

For Intel and AMD machines running Windows 10 or 11. Codiz is not signed with a certificate yet, so the first run is met by a warning — step two is the way past it.

  1. Run the installer

It installs for you alone, so it never asks for an administrator password, and it opens when it finishes.

  2. “Windows protected your PC”

Press More info, then Run anyway. Windows says this about any app whose publisher it does not recognise, and Codiz is not signed with a certificate yet — the same reason the Mac download needs a command. You see it once; updates from inside the app never ask again.

  3. Sign in and you are working

The welcome screen signs you in. If a coding agent’s command already runs in your terminal, Codiz finds it and uses that. Git for Windows is worth having — Codiz leans on git for everything it shows you about your changes.

About 367 MB of the download is the voice models, for reading answers aloud and for dictation. They are already inside the app, so the voice works offline from the first launch. The coding agents are not included.
